The House at Quinta das Colmeias is a wonderful holiday house and the ideal family home away from home, spacious and comfortable, set in a beautiful countryside location surrounded by nature on the island of Madeira.

Originally built in the 1940’s the house has been totaly refurbished, and fitted with all the services and facilities you could need for a fabulous break, but at the same time maintaining an authentic contryside spirit.

The large sitting room with wonderful mountain views easily sits 10 and has direct access to the varanda and lawn. Relax in some comfortable sofas after your day exploring the island, keep up with the news with cable TV, put on a DVD, or just listen to some music. The open fireplace is wonderful in the evening as the sun sets over the mountains.
A fantastic house for kids to run around they can enjoy their own games room, with plenty of space, a table for games and drawing and colour TV.

The Dinning room which also sits 10 shares the mountain views and is is right next to the fully fitted kitchen, for easy hassle free self catering, equipped with all modern facilities allowing you to cook up some fabulous meals with no trouble at all.

Make the most of our seasonal fresh organic produce available at a special price for guests. For an alfresco option have a barbeque outside and have a go at making a delicious local espetada. Don’t you don’t feel like cooking?! No problem, there are quite a few restaurants only 5 minutes drive from the house.

The House sleeps 8 comfortably with extra beds for kids as well as cots for babies, 4 large double room on the top floor 2 with direct access to the covered varanda. The rooms share two bathrooms and there is also a WC on the ground floor.
