Located on the beautiful Island of Madeira, Quinta das Colmeias is a private estate offering a unique holiday experience. There is much to explore and enjoy on the estate, only minutes from the sea, as well as many of the islands unique activities.
Surrounded by mountains, the estate offers a quiet and peaceful retreat for a couple of families or a group of friends looking for alternative accommodation on the island. The House, sleeps 8 adults plus kids, and the Cottage sleeps 6. The properties can be booked individually or together.
This secluded property has a swimming pool with ample gardens surrounded by beautiful mountain views, explore the grounds and enjoy the local flora and fauna. Try a great game of croquet on the front lawn!

The Santo da Serra Golf Course, part of the PGA European Tour, is only a couple of minutes away, where you can enjoy 27 spectacular holes of golf, Palheiro Golf is only 20 minutes away. There is also a horse riding center next to the golf course and the village has a wonderful park wher you can try some mini golf and visit some of the resident animals.
Quinta das Colmeias is only 15 minutes from Madeira’s only airport at Santa Cruz, 5 minutes from the local village of Santo da Serra and 25 minutes to Funchal.
Quinta das Comeias is also a certified working Organic Farm producing a selection of seasonal Fruit and Vegetables as well as Poultry and Lamb. All these are available for local purchace as well as to guersts at a special price. Cook up a feast using fresh local organic produce.

Direction to Quinta das Colmeias

Quinta das Colmeias is located just outside the village of Santo António da Serra, 10 minutes from the Airport at Santa Cruz and 25 minutes from the capital of Madeira, Funchal.

From the Airport:
> On leaving the Airport join the freeway (ER 101) and take the direction Funchal.
> After 500 metres take the first right exit to Santo António da Serra on (ER 207).
> The road (ER 207) runs along the airport then winds its way up the mountain until you arrive at the Golf Course on your right.
> Follow the road along the golf course for 1 kilometer until you arrive at a roundabout, turn left before the roundabout on to ‘Caminho do Poiso’.
> Drive along until you reach the 4th gate on your right, welcome to Quinta das Colmeias.
